Meet Hunter

A family man with a passion for helping others
I am twenty-seven (27) years old and I’m proud to call southeast Indiana home. I live in Aurora with my lovely wife Haylee and our beautiful daughter Johanna. My family is my world, and I don’t know what I would do without them.
Giving back to my community has always been a central part of who I am. My mother taught me early on that giving is better than receiving. As a child, we would cook and deliver meals to elderly and infirm members of our church. These experiences planted a lifelong desire to serve others.
As an adult, that passion led me to become deeply involved in organized labor. Every day, I stand up to one of the world’s largest corporations, fighting for fair pay, better benefits, and safer working conditions — so that my fellow workers can have a real shot at the American Dream.
Mission & Vision
Progress for the people, Not the powerful
Hoosiers deserve better than political theater and bending the knee to big money interests. I’m running for State Representative to bring real progress to District 68. To be a voice for hard working families, and to focus on the issues that actually matter. Things like strong local schools, addiction recovery and accessible healthcare, legalizing cannabis, and making your dollar go further in Indiana.
Mission
Our mission is to restore trust in public leadership by fighting for fully funded public schools, affordable healthcare, economic dignity, modern infrastructure, and fair taxation — while rejecting political theater and standing firmly with the people over special interests. We are building a movement powered by community, compassion, and common sense.
Vision
We envision a southeast Indiana where every family has access to strong public schools, quality healthcare, economic opportunity, and safe communities. A district where working people, not wealthy elites, shape our future. Where infrastructure meets the needs of our towns, jobs pay a fair wage, and leaders are accountable to the people they serve. Together, we will build a state where hard work is respected, families can thrive, and everyday Hoosiers come first.
Focusing on the issues that actually matter to everyday Hoosiers
The Issue:
Hoosiers feel like government isn't working for them. To be fair, it isn't. Our Statehouse is filled with political theater, big money interest, and deep partisan divide.
Hunter’s Plan:
Find the common ground among us, and use common sense to get work done.
Refuse to engage in the political theater
Work with both sides of the aisle to find solutions that work for the people of southeast Indiana.
- Ignore big money interests and focus on listening to the folks of southeast Indiana
The Issue:
Rural schools are underfunded, teachers are unsupported, and students lack equal opportunities.
Hunter’s Plan:
Increase funding for rural public schools
Fully fund special education
Expand vocational training and community college access
Oppose school voucher expansions that drain public resources
The Issue:
Southeast Indiana faces an opioid crisis, and too many families lack access to basic or mental health care.
Hunter’s Plan:
Expand Medicaid eligibility
Fund local health clinics and addiction treatment programs
Protect reproductive rights and keep medical decisions between patients and doctors
The Issue:
Wages lag behind the cost of living, farms are struggling, and tax cuts benefit the wealthy over working families.
Hunter’s Plan:
Support local farms and food systems
Invest in Main Street revitalization and infrastructure
Strengthen workers’ rights and unions by repealing right to work laws and banning captive audience meetings
Ensure corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share
The Issue:
Roads, bridges, and utility systems in District 68 are failing from neglect.
Hunter’s Plan:
Fund critical infrastructure upgrades
Require cost-efficiency reviews for major projects
Use state and federal grants to create local jobs and speed up development
The Issue:
Indiana is surrounded by states with legal cannabis, losing revenue and wasting resources on outdated enforcement.
Hunter’s Plan:
Legalize cannabis for medical and recreational use (21+)
Tax sales at 8% and allow limited home cultivation with medical approval
Expunge records for non-violent cannabis possession
The Issue:
High gas and vehicle taxes unfairly burden rural families and small businesses.
Hunter’s Plan:
Cap vehicle excise taxes
Exempt one vehicle from the excise tax for working families
Lower the state gas tax by 10¢ per gallon
